Another day at the spa

The KUMC spa, that is. Update from Janice. Things are going better for Cathi. Compared to the last time she was here, as in chemo timeline, she is doing better in most ways. More energy, perhaps less pain, more strength. She is getting dietary supplements and that is surely a big part of the picture. There was the surprise visit from parents and sisters/sister-in-law yesterday--all at once, but the hospital staff didn't seem to be upset with us having a family reunion in room 4227. So now the goal is to get home. Cathi is hoping for mid-week. Stay tuned for updates.

It's Rusty time on the Pole.
Cathi you are looking so much better now with the TPN feeding through the IV. We did two laps around the unit 42 today, this is a lot longer than laps on unit 41.

So glad to hear the nutrition is doing it's job. Whether it's you under chemo, a hungry 3 yr old, or a gal with low blood sugar, calories in always makes us feel better... ;o)

Looking forward to seeing you soon and bringing some of the Winfield festival spirit to you!

Love you!

So glad you're feeling stronger. Having spent the last week feeding 3 nephews with hollow logs, I know all about how calories in = energy out!

Cath, I remember a day back in 2003 where we sat on a bed at St. Lukes. It was when we received the news that "brothers and sisters" didn't match. There was little hope. Within two hours, the Nat'l registry came in with 3 perfect matches. We spent 2 long hours knowing it was over...IT WASN'T !!! Seven years later we are still fighting.
As much as I love Dr. M, Dr. A, Dr. G, et al....only GOD knows the number of days and it is HE who orders the universe. You spend every day He gives you looking around for people to touch (just like you are doing) and when He decides it's over. You will be with Him in paradise waiting for the rest of us. Keep fighting, keep hoping, keep the faith. The rest will take care of itself. Oh..and know you are LOVED by many many people. You are Blessed!!!
