I feel as blue as I have felt through this entire recovery process. My counts are very low. I must have gall bladder surgery after the first of the year. The 100 days is going to pass with me still visiting the clinic daily and living with my parents.

I had a bone marrow biopsy today. I go the clinic every day for labs and a neupogen shot until the ANC gets to 1.0. Today it was 0.1.

Changed all the drugs around and made a lot of encouraging sounds.

I am having a hard time adjusting to this unexpected agenda.

Wow, pole position on this 'Debbie Downer Day'. Hopefully I can live up to some of the witty first posts that have lived on this blog.

It's ok for you to be down and have a cry. Don't forget it.

But once you do that, it's time to focus on the immediate task at hand and that's to deal with this gall bladder and the low counts. Things will get better and I know I speak for myself but many others when I say that tomorrow will be an extremely happy 55th birthday for you!

We will be celebrating it with extra special thoughts this year and ensuring Harrison sends his best!

We too wish you a very happy 55th Birthday tomorrow and hope that you get to enjoy it a little! It is definitely okay to have the down days! You're human and we all know we need those wallow days. We'll be sending great birthday wishes your way and happy spirit thoughts to help get you through the next few days. Much love! Craig and Margaret

Wish the numbers weren't down and that you were feeling better. I don't have any funny jokes or songs to share with you either. Gee - I'm not much use tonight. Keep your eye on the goal of getting those numbers back up (hmmm - do ya' think that getting the gall bladder out will help improve things??? Me thinks so.)

Sending you big hugs & lots of good birthday wishes.

love, gail

Tried to find a gall bladder joke but could only come up with this - totally unrelated but hopefully will make you giggle.

A guy goes to visit his grandmother and takes his friend with him. While he's talking to his grandmother, his friend starts eating the peanuts on the coffee table, and finishes them off. As they're leaving, his friend says to his grandmother, "Thanks for the peanuts." She says, "Yeah, since I lost my dentures I can only suck the chocolate off 'em."

Happy Birthday Captain Cathi
lots of love #2 GOT

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday. I do hope you find a few special moments of humor (or groans (see Janet's joke :) ) today, even if you have to look pretty hard. You're so close to independence and have come so far in the last six months. Put on a good chick flick and have a bottle of fake beer, maybe paint your toenails, eat some pasta. Things always look better in the morning.
Hugs and love,
Robbie
